Hector Jaime

Hector Jaime was born and raised in Channelview, Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics at the University of Houston in Spring 2026. He joined Dr. Daugulis group in Fall 2023 where he worked on developing a synthesis of sandwich type ⍺-diimines using bis(imidoyl chlorides) and organolithium reagents. During his time in the lab, he also synthesized sandwich ⍺-diimines ligands that contain alkoxides in the backbone along with their metal complexes. He will now be working as a research technologist for the Catalysis Operations Department at ExxonMobil in Baytown, Texas.
